About Saucer Magnolia

Big goblet flowers on bare branches, and the recurring heartbreak of this tree is that it flowers early enough to be browned by a late frost most years. Site it away from early morning sun on a north or west aspect, which delays flowering slightly and gives frosted buds a chance to thaw slowly.
