About Lilyturf

Evergreen strap leaves and purple flower spikes in late summer, and it takes dry shade under trees where grass will not grow. The clumping species is the one you want; the creeping form runs and is hard to remove. Mow or shear the whole planting to a few inches in late winter, before new growth starts, and it comes back clean.
