About Striped Maple

Green bark with vertical white stripes on young stems, best on a multi-stemmed plant in shade. Also called moosewood because deer and moose browse it heavily in winter, which is worth weighing against the Seldom Damaged rating. A cool-climate understorey tree that struggles in heat.
