About Money Plant
Grown for the translucent papery seed pods rather than the purple flowers. Leave the stems standing until the pods dry, then rub the brown outer skins off between finger and thumb to reveal the silver discs. A biennial that self-sows freely, and it can become weedy in mild damp regions.
